Band 5, $67,100 - $77,800 pa

The Festivals and Events team delivers Council’s festivals and events program for the city and supports numerous community groups in their event application process.
The two Festivals and Events officer positions are responsible for the delivery of nine Council events with a combined audience of 90,000 people. The Festivals and Events Officer role is also responsible for assessing and coordinating event applications from the Greater Dandenong community.
The ideal candidate will have:
- tertiary qualification in Event Management and/or significant professional experience in the delivery of public outdoor events
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management and relevant experience delivering safe, secure and successful events and festivals
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time while paying strict attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective negotiation, problem solving and presentation skills
- OHS or Safety Officer and First Aid training.
