Following the retirement of two long standing and highly respected leaders, Greater Dandenong City Council has undertaken a realignment to purpose fit our structure to capitalise on the synergies which exist between the environmental health, planning compliance and building services functions. This newly defined leadership role will report through to the Director City Planning, Design & Amenity.
As Manager Building & Compliance Services, you will lead a team of 24 staff with your direct reports leading the functions of Planning Compliance, Public Health and Municipal Building Surveying. You will have a mature approach to leadership and an unwavering commitment to customer services and community engagement. Your understanding of these key local government functions will be valued as will your ability to continue the strong positive culture within this team.
To be successful in this role you will have the energy and adaptability to juggle, prioritise and reprioritise within a changing environment. You will have a proactive participative management style. Your ability to ensure quality services are provided at all times and your passion for stakeholder engagement will be vital to your success.
