The City of Greater Dandenong currently has opportunities for an innovative and dynamic Early Parenting Practitioner to join our Maternal and Child Health Team.

The City of Greater Dandenong is centrally located in South East Victoria, providing a range of Maternal and Child Health services to a community that is diverse in both culture and lived experience. We have a strong Early Years Program that fosters support and integration across services and are working towards increased flexibility within the service through both consultation hours and program expansion.

We are seeking successful applicants that have:

  • Extensive knowledge of child development and the factors that impact on their development
  • An innovative approach to engagement of families
  • Experience working in both community and home-based settings

The successful applicant must hold a Tertiary Early Childhood Education qualification and have and have specialist knowledge and experience working with families with children 0-school age. Previous experience and training in the field of Sleep and Settling will be advantageous.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.

The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an ‘international criminal history check’), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
